Tuesdays with Dorie: Chocolate Malted Whopper Drops

It’s time for another cookie this week! Rachel of Confessions of a Tangerine Tart chose the Chocolate Malted Whopper Drops. I was really excited because I thought this sounded like a great recipe and one that stood out to me right away. I was not disappointed! This was one fabulous cookie. It was probably the best tasting cookie dough I have ever eaten 🙂 I really like Whoppers, but had never had them in a cookie. I loved the way the Whoppers mixed with the cookie.  When I was making these, I thought that I needed to chop the Whoppers into small pieces, but I found that they melted into the cookie while baking, so next time (and there will be a next time!) I will use bigger pieces.  I will probably just cut them in half.  The malt flavor in this cookie was amazing.  It was different from any other cookie I’ve tasted before, and I loved it!  Next time white chooclate chips might be a welcome addition.  Thanks Rachel for a great pick this week!  Next week we’ll be making another cookie I’m excited about- the Chocolate Chunkers.  You can visit Rachel’s blog for the recipe and be sure to check out other cookies by visiting the Tuesdays with Dorie blog!

  22. your cookies look great. i actually made them again tonight and i tried chopping them in half – YUCK. the whopper pieces were hard and i disliked it so much i took the time to pick out all the whopper pieces from my mixed cookie dough and chop them into smaller pieces (and that was no small task!)

  23. I looooooved these cookies too though I didn’t use regular whoppers in them. I didn’t find they tasted like malt too much though – maybe because I used chocolate malt?
